Term life insurance 'is ridiculously affordable'
September 07, 2010
The benefits of term life insurance include its low cost, a commentator has said.
Term life insurance is a "ridiculously affordable" way of getting cover, it has been suggested.
According to CBS Moneywatch blogger Carla Fried, the premiums on a term life insurance policy are generally far smaller than other forms of protection.
She explained that while whole life insurance can be better, in the majority of cases term life insurance is all that is required to provide peace of mind.
"A term life insurance policy that is affordable is a better move than not buying an unaffordable permanent policy and going completely uninsured," stated Ms Fried.
She said that this form of cover could be an ideal solution for families with limited resources at their disposal.
A recent article in the Creston News Advertiser underlined the importance of having some kind of life insurance, noting that the payout can help provide family members with financial assistance as they adjust to life without the policyholder.
